Message from LCHS Principal Cassie Bridges

Parents, Guardians, and the LC Community,

We want to make you aware that the administration has been informed of a situation that occurred off campus over the weekend. We are also aware that there is a possibility that this situation could carry over into the school environment.

As a precaution, measures were taken early this morning to ensure that this situation did not impact the safety or operations of Lawrence County High School. Local law enforcement was notified last night and is fully involved. After careful assessment and collaboration with law enforcement, we do not believe there is any direct threat to our school at this time.

Please know that we are not currently on lockdown; however, we are fully prepared to initiate lockdown procedures immediately should any credible threat arise. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff remains our highest priority, and we will continue to monitor this situation closely.
