Prayers for Our Communities and a Safer Tomorrow

My thoughts and prayers are with the families impacted by the senseless gun violence throughout our state last night.  I offer my sincere condolences to the lives tragically taken too soon.  My heart is with the Heidelberg, Leland, and Rolling Fork communities during this heartbreaking time.

As we prepare to host McComb next Friday, I ask that we all remain vigilant and on our best behavior.  If you see something, say something.  Safety is and will always be our highest priority, and we will continue working closely with our security team, local law enforcement, and other community partners to keep our students, staff, and families safe.

Please continue to pray for the families, schools, and communities impacted by the events of last night. Let us all make a vow to do better in the days ahead.  Young people, please put down the guns.
